Interview with Virginia Vaughan

I’m excited to have Love Inspired Suspense author, Virginia Vaughan, visiting with me today! I had the pleasure of meeting her last summer at the KenTen Writer’s Retreat. I was a little starstruck to meet a “real” Harlequin author with so many books published! Her newest release is Mission: Memory Recall.

Mission Memory RecallCIA analyst Bethany Bryant has risked her career to prove her former love, soldier Marcus Allen, actually survived a military ambush—and betrayed his country. But when she finally tracks the rugged army ranger to a remote Texas town, Marcus doesn’t remember who he is…or why someone’s trying to kill him. With an assailant determined to silence them both for good, Bethany and Marcus must go on the run in the hope he’ll regain his memories. But will Bethany’s risky gambit to expose the truth clear his name and give them a future…or end their second chance at forever?

Why do you feel your book, Mission: Memory Recall, will make a great Valentine’s Day read? Mission: Memory Recall is reunion story and who doesn’t love those? Marcus and Bethany are fighting for their love while on the run. They must overcome a sniper out to shut them up, Marcus’s amnesia, and the threat of treason if their love is to survive.

What is the best Valentine’s Day celebration you’ve had? I’ve always loved the sweet Valentines cards my kids made me during their school days. To me, those handcrafted gifts are the epitome of love.

How do your characters feel about romance? Love it? Think it’s awful? Marcus loves the idea of romance, but Bethany is a little more cautious. She’s had her heart broken by this man once before and is wary about trusting him completely again.

What’s next for you writing wise? Mission: Memory Recall finishes up my Rangers Under Fire series, but I have a new series called Covert Operatives starting later this year. The first book, Cold Case Cover-Up releases in August 2018 and the second, Deadly Christmas Duty, in November.

Anything else you’d like to add? Thanks so much for having me on your blog, Sara. I hope you and every one of your readers had a Happy Valentine’s Day!

Virginia Vaughan was born and raised in Mississippi and has never strayed far beyondVirginia Vaughan photothose borders. Blessed to come from a large, Southern family, her fondest memories include listening to stories recounted by family and friends around the large dinner table. She was a lover of books even from a young age and soon started writing them herself. Her eighth book with Love Inspired Suspense, Cold Case Cover-Up, releases in August 2018.

I so enjoyed this interview! I also found that I wasn’t following her on all her websites, so thank you for including them. This sounds like another great book, and I can’t wait to read it!
