I am an extra-special kind of excited today as I introduce you to a new author, Becky Sawyer (writing as B. B. Sawyer). She is one of my closest friends, a prayer warrior, and a wonderful support in my life.

Becky Sawyer, writing as B. B. Sawyer, is a native of the Tennessee Valley. She lives with her husband of over forty years. She has three sons with very special wives and six wonderful grandchildren. She is an amateur researcher and historian of many interests, including the Clinch Mountain Valley. She is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and is a self-proclaimed autodidact. Her faith in Christ is her inspiration to write. Her genre under B. B. Sawyer is Biblical Mystery Suspense.

Becky has spent most of her working years in sales and marketing. She has owned two businesses with her husband. College years were spent studying nursing, Civil War History, and science. Her sons were raised on a small farm with horses. The racking horse Vixen, described in The Hidden, was a part of their family for years, along with a quarter horse named Twisty and an appaloosa named Buckshot. She loves the countryside and the many mountains surrounding the Tennessee Valley. She refers to it lovingly as God’s Country.

I am excited to be a guest on Sara’s blog today. Actually, it is a very exciting week for me.  Saturday is my book launch for my first novel, The Hidden, a Biblical Mystery Suspense, set in the Clinch Mountain Valley of East Tennessee. My main character, Jade, is searching for answers to a past she didn’t know existed. During her journey she discovers many things about her past and herself.

God has blessed me in so many aspects of my life. I remember as a young Christian I wanted to sing in church. Unfortunately, I “can’t carry a tune in a bucket,” as we say here in East Tennessee. I found my love of writing during my college years. I have written many church plays and stories for family. Singing was not the gift God gave me. He wanted to use me to write. So I did. And I still do.

I am continuing the story after The Hidden in a trilogy that carries on with the daughters of Jade and Mac. It will release in 2019. But first, The Inheritance is coming by the end of this year, which also follows this special family’s journey. I am also working on a story for my granddaughter called Mermaid’s Tears, and my grandson requested a mystery western, so that will be coming soon too. Both of these will be Middle Grade chapter books.
